Elisa Longo nasce a Tradate (VA) il 14 maggio 1974 da genitori pugliesi. Cresce e respira l’aria di Panni, un paesino a 801 m. s.l.m. del Subappennino Dauno. Si laurea in lingue e letterature straniere all’Università Cattolica di Milano. Scrittrice di racconti e poesie, partecipa alla prima lettura pubblica a novembre 2017. Il pubblico si incuriosisce e comincia a interessarsi alla sua poetica che sembra emergere dal nulla. A maggio 2018 vince il “No Lunch Poetry Slam” dell’edizione del Festival Internazionale di Poesia di Milano e comincia la sua collaborazione con alcuni poeti della scena milanese. “Non penso che la poesia debba essere rinchiusa nei salotti o essere letta solo nelle riviste letterarie. La poesia risuona per le strade, quando è viva dialoga con il panorama circostante. Vedere una donna passeggiare è poesia. Io scrivo una poesia del quotidiano e la metto a disposizione di chiunque voglia leggerla: nei salotti, nelle riviste poetiche, nei poetry slam o per strada.” Pubblica Buttate la poesia tra le gambe di una donna che passeggia, curata da Stefano Donno de I Quaderni del Bardo Edizioni, ad agosto 2018, in vendita in versione e-book. Il libro riscuote un grande successo. Pubblica, sempre con I Quaderni del Bardo Edizioni di Stefano Donno, Come se qualcuno vi vedesse nudi, una raccolta di cinque racconti per parlare di sentimenti, in e-book a ottobre dello stesso anno e in versione cartacea ad agosto 2019. Impegnata nel sociale per la parità di genere, collabora come volontaria con le “Case delle donne”. Performer, alterna la lettura delle sue poesie con stralci di prosa, di brani cantati, cucendo un dialogo tra le arti per arrivare a un significato altro.

«Berlino è troppo grande per Berlino» è il curioso titolo di un libro del flàneur Hanns Zischler che scherza sulla bassa densità abitativa di questa città policentrica così estesa: una delle ragioni per cui la sensazione che suscita è quella di libertà e «spazio». Ma «Berlino è troppo grande per Berlino» anche in senso più ampio: come convivere e tenere viva la fiamma di un mito così ingombrante come «Berlino, città di tendenza»? Per capirlo è necessario un viaggio alle sue origini, gli anni Novanta, quando il tempo sembrava essersi fermato: cicatrici della guerra ovunque, stufe a carbone, palazzi fatiscenti, minimarket spartani, mai una casa che avesse l'ascensore e un citofono funzionante. Visitarla era un'esperienza allucinogena, un viaggio nel passato e nel futuro allo stesso tempo, quando una gioventù curiosa sembrava aver fatto proprio - ribaltandolo in positivo - il famoso aforisma di inizio Novecento di Karl Scheffler: «Berlino è condannata per sempre a diventare e mai a essere.» La ricerca della rovina abbandonata, la caccia al cimelio del mercatino, le feste illegali negli scantinati oggi non ci sono più. Quell'epoca di archeologia urbana è finita per sempre: quasi tutti i palazzi sono stati ristrutturati, le case occupate sgomberate e i negozi con il tipico arredamento Ddr hanno chiuso. Senza più ferite del passato il corpo della città è forse meno drammatico ma di certo è più forte, sano. Anche gli abitanti hanno perso qualcosa di quello struggimento, di quella vena romantica e autodistruttiva, e oggi c'è perfino chi viene a Berlino per lavorare e non solo per «creare» o semplicemente oziare. Ma Berlino rimane una città giovane, che non si attacca morbosamente a un passato «povero e sexy» e i cui unici feticci intoccabili sono una multiculturalità che non accetta compromessi e un futuro che è sempre tutto da scrivere. Anzi, per citare uno che la conosce bene, Berlino è e sempre sarà «potenziale puro».

Berlino, 27 febbraio 1933. Alle nove di sera le strade della città sono deserte per colpa del freddo pungente. Fino a quel momento, la serata è identica a tante altre che segnano la fine dell'inverno tedesco. Ma in un attimo cambia tutto: i pompieri della città ricevono una chiamata concitata. Devono accorrere al Reichstag, il parlamento, perché qualcuno ha appiccato il fuoco. Sulla scena, in un tempo troppo breve, giungono anche Adolf Hitler e Hermann Göring, che non perdono tempo a indicare i colpevoli dell'attentato: i comunisti.
