JUTTA NEUMANN IN NEW YORK

“Born in Germany, Jutta Neumann (pronounced yoota noyman) began designing and hand building leather goods after moving to New York from Paris in the mid-1980s. More than six years she assisted a venerated New York leather artisan. Neumann opened her own studio and storefront in the East Village in New York City in 1994. Since then, her work designing and handcrafting sandals, handbags and shoulder bags, wristbands, belts, and accessories has been well received by designers and the general public alike. In 2001 she added a jewelery line combining leather with sterling silver. Neumann's work is featured regularly in Vogue, Elle, Marie-Claire, Mademoiselle, Self, W and other national and international publications. Already one year passed since we moved the store into our studio. To enter our tiny store you have to go through our production space. As our regular customers know, everything we sell on the website and in the store is made by us in our East Village studio. We don't accept outside products nor do we produce overseas. If you come and visit us you will be witness of the production process.

HAPPY, HEALTHY and SUCCESSFUL 2011
