MLB TRADE RUMORS

“MLB Trade Rumors is a clearinghouse for relevant, legitimate baseball rumors.  The site focuses on the hot stove - trades and free agent signings.  Rumors come from established journalists, and always include a link to the source material.  All 30 teams are covered.  MLBTR is written and maintained by Tim Dierkes.  You can read about Tim here, contact him here, and follow him on Twitter here. MLBTR has new material 365 days a year, and attempts to post all rumors with analysis as soon as they are available.  The site was created as a hobby in November of 2005, and has grown virally.  MLB Trade Rumors now receives hundreds of thousands of pageviews per day.  The peak day - 2,001,128 pageviews -  was July 31st, 2009, baseball's Trade Deadline day.  MLBTR also has an RSS feed with over 57,000 subscribers, a Facebook page with over 40,000 fans, a Twitter feed with over 97,000 followers, and a forum with over 8,900 members.
MLB Trade Rumors has been praised by Peter Gammons, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Boston Herald, and many other major publications.  In June of 2011, MLBTR was named one of TIME's 25 best blogs of the year.  MLB Trade Rumors is a favorite of baseball writers and fans of all ages.  MLBTR is even read by baseball players, such as Dustin Pedroia, Dan Haren, C.J. Wilson, Joel Hanrahan, David Aardsma, Scott Hairston, Mark Lowe, Freddy Sanchez, Jack Wilson, Chad Qualls, Billy Butler, Michael Cuddyer, Adam Jones, Justin Morneau, Jake Peavy, and Mike Stanton!  Dodgers manager Don Mattingly and Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos are also regular readers.”
