The Best American Poetry 2020 (The Best American Poetry series) di David Lehman, Paisley Rekdal

The 2020 edition of contemporary American poetry returns, guest edited by Paisley Rekdal, the award-winning poet and author of Nightingale, proving that this is “a ‘best’ anthology that really lives up to its title” (Chicago Tribune).

Since 1988, The Best American Poetry anthology series has been “one of the mainstays of the poetry publication world” (Academy of American Poets). Each volume in the series presents some of the year’s most remarkable poems and poets.

Now, the 2020 edition is guest edited by Utah’s Poet Laureate Paisely Rekdal, called “a poet of observation and history...[who] revels in detail but writes vast, moral poems that help us live in a world of contraries” by the Los Angeles Times. In The Best American Poetry 2020, she has selected a fascinating array of work that speaks eloquently to the “contraries” of our present moment in time.

Freemasonry: The Invisible Cult by Jack Harris and Rev. Alan R Street Ph.D.

Millions Deceived in a Secret Cult

A former “Worshipful Master” of a Masonic lodge, Jack Harris authoritatively speaks about one of the most deceptive cults in the United States today. This secret organization has entangled ministers, elders, deacons, trustees, Sunday school teachers, and people all over the world in a web of lies and satanic rituals--all of which are veiled with the language of the Bible!
Revealed in this book are…

  • The origins and history of Freemasonry
  • Its basic doctrines and goals
  • The secret of passwords and oaths
  • The “supreme Masonic word”
  • The satanic symbolism and rituals
Freemasonry is a false religion. It teaches that men can approach God, not through the finished work of Jesus Christ, but through their own abilities. Discover how you can share the light of Christ with those living in the darkness of Freemasonry, and how they can be set free from its deception.

A Pilgrim's Path: Freemasonry and the Religious Right by John J. Robinson

The Lost Keys of Freemasonry (Dover Occult) by Manly P. Hall

A high-ranking Mason offers a fascinating glimpse into the Western world's most secretive society. Manly P. Hall, a scholar of occult and esoteric ideas, traces the path followed by initiates to the ancient craft. Hall also recounts the ethical training required of a Freemason, and he profiles the character traits a Mason must "build" within himself.
More than a mere social organization a few centuries old, Freemasonry can be regarded as a perpetuation of the philosophical mysteries and initiations of the ancients. This book reveals the unique and distinctive elements that have inspired generations of Masons. Thoughtful members of the craft, as well as outsiders, will appreciate its exploration of Masonic idealism and the eternal quest, from humble candidate to entered apprentice and master Mason.

The Secret History of Freemasonry: Its Origins and Connection to the Knights Templar by Paul Naudon

Explores the hidden history of Freemasonry from ancient Rome, through the Middle Ages, to the present

• Shows the close connection between medieval masons and the Knights Templar

• Illustrates the sacred nature of Roman and medieval trade associations

• Reveals the missing link that connects the lodges of modern Freemasonry to the medieval brotherhoods of builders

Historians often make a sharp distinction between the operative Masonry of the Middle Ages and the speculative Masonry of modern times, emphasizing that there is no direct bridge connecting the two. Modern historians also have scoffed at Masonic claims concerning the close relationship between the Lodge and the Temple. Using medieval archives housed throughout Europe, historian Paul Naudon reveals that there was in fact a very intimate connection between the Masons and the Knights Templar. Church records of medieval Paris show that most, if not all, the Masons of that time were residents of the Templar censive, which allowed them to enjoy great exemptions and liberties from both church and state as a result of the protection afforded them by this powerful order.

Naudon shows that the origins of Freemasonry can be traced back to the collegia of ancient Rome. He traces the evolution of organizations such as the Comacine Masters, the Arab turuqs, and the brotherhoods of builders created under the aegis of the Benedictines and the Knights Templar, all of which provide the vehicle for the transmission of a sacred tradition from pre-Christian times to the modern era. This tradition is the source of Masonic ritual and symbolism, and it provides the missing link in the transformation of the operative Masonry of the medieval cathedral builders to the spiritual principles of modern speculative Masonry.

The Initiatic Experience: That Led To Your Initiation Into Freemasonry

Freemasonry is an Initiatic Order teaching lessons of philosophy, morality, psychology, and spirituality. It contains elements of perennial wisdom, much of which has been handed down to it by other orders and cultures throughout the history of civilization. Many have searched, and continue to search, for a singular origin to our Fraternity. This book discusses similarities found in the Initiatic Experiences which have been practiced by people of different cultures from time immemorial. You will find that much of what our lessons teach today, was taught to initiates thousands of years before Freemasonry had even been formed, being passed from Master to Candidate. It shows that some of those Initiatic processes, methods, and lessons, which were passed down to us from ancient times, was done so by some of the most famous thinkers, philosophers, and teachers in human history. Sometimes this knowledge was lost by one civilization only to be rediscovered or rejuvenated by the next. The knowledge and lessons changed nearly as little as the methods of conveying them. It shows a lineage or pathway, so to speak, created by the sharing of knowledge and wisdom from Ancient Egypt and Greece, to Renaissance Europe and even the Middle East. It discusses how the process and impact of the Initiatic experience was used then, and is still used today, to promote and protect certain lessons and concepts throughout the ages, sometimes with deadly consequences. This book talks about some of the challenges certain Orders had in maintaining these lessons in times of social or religious turmoil such as the Knights Templar, Rosicrucians, and even the early Alchemists. For the new and old Freemason alike, this book can provide valuable insight into the meaning behind portions of the ritual, the history behind some of the traditions, and the spirit behind some of the lessons of our Fraternity. Those interested in history will find a concise, chronological order of events making study and familiarization of information quick and easy. Those interested in the more esoteric side of Freemasonry will find both old and new concepts behind the superficial aspects of our Craft and the underlying Western Mystery School tradition as a whole.

Esoteric Handbook For The Master Mason by Robert V Lund

This book is aimed, primarily, at the Mason who has been raised to the Third Degree, but it is also for those older Masons who have not delved into the depth of meaning in Masonic ceremonies. As Freemasonry is a system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols, this book takes a look at what those allegories and symbols are hinting at.The creators of the amazing Masonic degree ceremonies have added a layer of meaning that goes beyond the obvious moral lessons and starts to point the Mason who seeks light towards a more spiritual understanding of himself and the reason for his existence in this world. This is the third of three volumes,

Kabbalah & Freemasonry: Becoming One With God by Nebojša Nikolić and Igor Solunac

What is the secret of Freemasonry?

What is it that has held the world's first and largest Fraternity together for centuries?

Why have the countless known and unknown Brothers diligently labored towards fitting their minds, "as living stones, for that spiritual building, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens"?

In today's world, most of the Masonic lodges have entirely forgotten—or have never even learned—where Masonry came from and what its original mission in the world was. Many of the six million seekers of the Light around the globe blindly stumble through the darkness of that ignorance, going through the motions of various rituals without understanding what the "peculiar system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols" behind the organization they joined is really about. To make matters worse, our modern age brought a proliferation of ludicrous conspiracy theories, muddying the waters even further and attracting many of those after materialistic gains.

On the other hand, after two millennia of deep secrecy, Kabbalah opened its gates wide to all genuine spiritual seekers. The long-hidden secrets—the nature of God, the Names of God, the Zohar, the Tree of Life, cosmic meaning of the Hebrew alphabet, creation of the world, the structure of reality—have been revealed to the world.

Originally published by the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia in A.L. 6017, Freemasonry & Kabbalah: Becoming One With God is an important work that fills the gap in modern Masonic education. The book introduces the 21st-century Brethren to the true essence of the Craft in a clear, approachable, and easy-to-understand language and without any undue mystification. The author offers an overview and interpretation of Kabbalistic secrets and points out that the Craft is deeply rooted in this tradition. Some of the basic Masonic postulates, incomprehensible to most modern Brethren, are easily explained through Kabbalah and its interpretations:

  • Knowing thyself,
  • Brotherly love,
  • Immortality of the soul,
  • Meaning of life and death,
  • The Great Architect of the Universe,
  • Charity,
  • Cosmic meaning of silence.

After reading Freemasonry & Kabbalah: Becoming One With God, these and other concepts familiar to every Mason will acquire a new and fresh meaning, and the genius of the hidden founders of the Fraternity will start blazing across centuries with a renewed brilliance and Light.

The Mysteries of John the Baptist: His Legacy in Gnosticism, Paganism, and Freemasonry by Tobias Churton

The search for the real historical person known as John the Baptist and the traditions that began with him

• Explores why John the Baptist is so crucially important to the Freemasons, who were originally known as “St. John’s Men”

• Reveals how John and Jesus were equal partners and shared a common spiritual vision to rebuild Israel and overcome corruption in the Temple of Jerusalem

• Explains the connections between John as lord of the summer solstice, his mysterious severed head, fertility rites, and ancient Jewish harvest festivals

Few Freemasons today understand why the most significant date in the Masonic calendar is June 24th--the Feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist and the traditional date for appointing Grand Masters. Nor do many of them know that Masons used to be known as “St. John’s Men” or that John the Baptist was fundamental to the original Masonic philosophy of personal transformation.

Starting with the mystery of John in Freemasonry, Tobias Churton searches out the historical Baptist through the gospels and ancient histories, unearthing the real story behind the figure lauded by Jesus’s words “no greater man was ever born of woman.” He investigates John’s links with the Essenes and the Gnostics, links that flourish to this day. Exposing how the apostle Paul challenged John’s following, twisting his message and creating the image of John as “merely” a herald of Jesus, the author shows how Paul may have been behind the executions of both John and Jesus and reveals a precise date for the crucifixion and the astonishing meaning of the phrase “the third day.” He examines the significance of John’s severed head to holy knights, such as the Knights Templar, and of Leonardo’s famous painting of John. Churton also explains connections between John, the summer solstice, fertility rites, and ancient Jewish harvest festivals.

Revealing John as a courageous, revolutionary figure as vital to the origins of Christianity as his cousin Jesus himself, Churton shows how John and Jesus, as equal partners, launched a covert spiritual operation to overcome corruption in the Temple of Jerusalem, re-initiate Israel, and resurrect Creation.
