NOTTEFONDA - SPLENDIDO SPLENDENTE

Three funny "nerd" musicians, a crushed car, an ancient manor somewhere on the mountains, a pair of magical glasses that reveals the modern society obsessions. These are the main features of "Splendido Splendente" videoclip, a surrealistic metaphor of what happens on the daily life: the fight between "NORMALITY" and "MONSTROSITY" (represented by the obsessive research of the beauty and aesthetic perfection). The director and screenwriter Vincenzo Puglisi, through the movie metaphor represented by the magic glasses, tries to lacerate the "Maya illusion" to show us the "splendor" of the monstrous part of the society that fear the simpleness and the artlessness of the normal things (f.e.: the carelessness of the barman, that makes some mess with his shaker). Splendido Splendente (even without considering the original lyrics by Donatella Rettore) tries to become the Anthem of Normality, in collision with the vacuity of the beauty shown by the magic glasses. Ostentation of richness, false beauty and hypocrisy try to take the control of the society. In this videoclip, for a moment, this features of the modern society seem to take the power of the reality and even the three guys can see the monstrous results of this "plastic" and false modernity. When the situation seems to become almost dramatic, the principal "monster" (an elegant ponce) seizes the glasses and wears it. The three nerds (by mantaining their usual normality) now appear to the monster's eyes with the band's shiny costumes; when he looks at his mates now, he can see them "normalized", and petrified he runs away! At least once the real normality defeats the monstrosity and the three guys can celebrate the victory with a good gig.
